Protecting and conserving our environment is of the utmost importance at De Keur. Pest control and management is essential to ensure that we adhere to industry standards required in our various local and export markets.
We rely on a scientific pest management system, which in conjunction with expert consultants, allows us to minimise disruption to beneficial organisms, such as bees, while protecting our produce against harmful ones such as codling moth and scab.
Various soil and leaf analyses within the orchards and fields assist us in applying fertilisation only when and where absolutely necessary.
In order to ensure that our fruit and vegetables are safe for consumption globally, the utmost care is taken to reduce residue levels as much as possible. This includes scientific processes and procedures within the orchards and fields, as well as applying the latest technologies within our packhouses to ensure that the Maximum Residue Levels are strictly complied with.
We manage and monitor the cold chain from the farm all the way to our clients, so that we can guarantee a quality product to the end consumer.
